Late Cancellations and Missed Appointments

Appointments are reserved specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 3 business days’ notice. Business days are Monday through Friday and do not include federal holidays.

  • Cancellations made with 3 or more business days’ notice: No fee will be charged.

  • Cancellations made with less than 3 business days’ notice or missed appointments: The full session fee will be billed to the credit card on file.

Examples:

  • A Monday 3:00 PM appointment must be cancelled by 3:00 PM the previous Wednesday.

  • A Wednesday 10:00 AM appointment must be cancelled by 10:00 AM the previous Friday.

This policy helps ensure availability for all clients and allows for fair scheduling.

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late, your appointment will still end at the originally scheduled time.

  • Less than 15 minutes late: The session will continue for the remaining time, and the full session fee will apply. The appointment will not be extended due to late arrival.

  • 15 minutes or more late: In fairness to other patients, the appointment may need to be rescheduled. In this case, the full session fee will apply.

Ending a Session Early

If you choose to end a session before the scheduled time for any reason, the full session fee will still apply.

Insurance and Payment

This is a private-pay practice, and payment is due at the time of the appointment. All fees are paid by credit card.

While I do not contract directly with insurance companies, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement, if any, depends on the details of your individual insurance plan.

By not working directly with insurance companies, treatment planning can be guided by clinical recommendations and patient preferences, rather than managed care requirements. This also allows more time to be devoted to direct patient care rather than administrative communication with insurance providers.

Rates

By providing high-quality care along with attentive and responsive client service, many individuals feel that my services offer good value for the fees charged. My approach emphasizes thoughtful assessment, individualized treatment planning, and the use of evidence-informed methods to address each client’s specific concerns.

As a psychologist with specialized training in certain areas, I focus on providing targeted and structured treatment when appropriate. Some clients find that a focused approach helps them make meaningful progress in a relatively efficient number of sessions. However, the length and course of treatment can vary depending on each person’s needs, goals, and circumstances.

My goal is to work collaboratively with clients to address concerns in a clear and effective manner while supporting lasting psychological well-being.

Treatment Length

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented approach that focuses on helping individuals develop practical skills to address current concerns and reduce distressing symptoms. Treatment is collaborative and active, often involving learning strategies that can be applied between sessions to support progress.

The overall cost and length of treatment can vary depending on several factors, including the number and complexity of concerns being addressed and each individual’s starting level of functioning. While outcomes cannot be guaranteed, many clients find that a focused, skills-based approach such as CBT helps them make meaningful progress over the course of treatment.

Many individuals begin to notice improvement within the first several months of consistent participation, though the pace of progress differs from person to person. I recognize that therapy represents both an emotional and financial investment, and my goal is to work collaboratively with clients to help them use treatment time as effectively as possible.

The length and frequency of treatment are flexible and tailored to each individual’s needs and preferences. After reaching their initial goals, some clients choose to transition to less frequent sessions to check in, reinforce skills, and support continued progress.
